4 Life Hacks to Help Pick You Up on Low-Energy Days

What are the instant energy hacks?

Have you ever had one of those days where you felt like you were in a funk?  You kept trying to get things done, but you just couldn’t muster up the energy?  Everybody goes through these moments of fatigue from time to time.  Behavioral Scientist Alice Boyes advises that “When you're feeling battered around by the winds of luck, you're going to need some self-nurturing… A dose of positive emotion will increase your resilience during stressful days. Know yourself well enough that you have a shortlist of simple things you enjoy that reliably boost your mood.”

Here are a few tips on how to get over sluggish days:

1) Do Something You Like

Having fun is one of the easiest ways to reset and revive. This is because leisure activities allow your mind to distract itself from stressful triggers.  And depending on the activity, the body could decompress as well.

2) Check Your Diet

Sometimes low-energy is a physical manifestation of a bad diet.  When people eat a healthy balance of nutrients, the body’s systems synchronize and function at peak performance.  On the other hand, when people eat nonstop junk food, the body loses out on vitamins and minerals which it needs to metabolize.

3) Take a Break from the News

The 24-Hour News-Cycle might be informative, but it also has a looming emotional impact.  An impact which is predominantly negative.  If you find yourself dealing with frequent bad moods, pay attention to whether the programming you consume is depressing you. Balance out bad news with uplifting media.

4) Recite Some Affirmations

Spiritual nourishment is essential for a sense of balance in life.  This is why it’s important to encourage yourself from time to time with verbal affirmations.  These affirmations could be religious, or they could be general statements.  Either way, use verbal pronouncements to fight against fatigue and reestablish kinetic energy.

Conclusion

If you find yourself dealing with bad moods and exhaustion, be careful not to write it off as a passing impulse.  Usually when the body exhibits physical symptoms, that’s a warning sign to indicate that you’re pushing too much.  Pay attention to biological responses like these.  Because if you fail to listen to your body, symptoms will intensify into illness.  If you like what you just read from our blog, you’ll love the various informative courses, workshops and events listed on our websites and social media.
